This week is National Peace Corps Week. Peace Corps Week celebrates how Peace Corps Volunteers make a difference in host countries around the world and in the United States. Peace Corps Week commemorates the date President John F. Kennedy signed the executive order to establish the Peace Corps—March 1, 1961. Alisa, the owner of Alternatives, is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Bolivia and recognizes the important role that Peace Corps volunteers play in supporting global artisans.
