July 21stHarn MuseumGallery Talk and Artist Q and A: 1 p.m. Alisa Woofter, owner of Alternatives Global Market Place and former Peace Corps volunteer in Candelaria, Bolivia will speak about weaving, the local culture of Candelaria, and how the Unay Pallay weaving cooperative provides economic opportunities that foster traditional skills. Santusa Quispe de Flores and Eleuteria Flores will answer questions through a translator. This event is supported by the Creative B Program and Earth Bound, a local non-profit assisting indigenous artisans. July 22ndAlternatives Global MarketplaceWeaving Demonstration and Textile Exhibit Noon- 5p.m. Santusa Quispe de Flores and Eleuteria Flores will be demonstrating their weaving on their traditional oblique frame loom. They will also exhibit their traditional handcrafts and answer any questions. Refreshments will be served.
